Hi y’all!
A day late and a dollar short, sorry y’all!
Pride
This Pride Month, I'm especially proud of the Adams Morgan Partnership BID and the new Rainbow Road mural lighting up the neighborhood. The mural was made possible by a grant we won from Capital Pride Alliance, and it’s a joyful reminder that Adams Morgan has long been one of DC’s most welcoming and inclusive neighborhoods. The mural was designed to bring color, energy, and visibility to our public spaces while honoring the queer community in AdMo that’s always been loud & proud.
If you’re in DC this month, see it in person and let it remind you that Pride doesn’t just live in parades — it lives in the places we show up for each other all year long. The mural is being finished as I type so no big reveal just yet, but please check out some of Jessie and Katey’s work in the meantime.
Sloth
This week’s long ”read” to luxuriate into comes from YouTube cultural critic F.D Signifier, whose two-hour and fifteen-minute video essay titled “Beyoncé is Everything” is exactly the kind of slow, deeply researched, gorgeously edited content I want injected into my veins.
It breaks down Beyoncé’s cultural significance in conjunction with labor politics, aesthetics, capitalism, and Black womanhood. PR folks will love it because Beyoncé has built one of the most controlled, intentional, and enduring celebrity brands of our time. If you obsess over narrative control, iconography, and identity — or just love Beyoncé — enjoy.
Greed
I can get enough of the recent Airbnb x Megan Thee Stallion campaign, Otaku Hottie Quest. Megan’s joy is really palpable in the content. Japan is a bucket list destination for me* so it caught my eye. I really think there is an appetite for travel stories that feel deeply specific, subculturally fluent, and driven by joy (not just hotel deals).
Gluttony
Netflix just announced the Stranger Things final season release schedule: Thanksgiving Eve (November 26), Christmas Day (December 25), and New Year's Eve (December 31). There is a lot of PR potential here if you work in events, restaurants, or retail. The show's moody ‘80s nostalgia, supernatural drama, and iconic character style are perfect for a themed activation. Think: a winter pop-up bar that doubles as a bunker from the Upside Down. National outlets love a themed bar or holiday market with a twist, but you have to have those high-res photos early, so the time to start planning is now.
Lust
“445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!!” Kylie Jenner they can never make me hate you. I cannot believe this woman is casually typing out her exact implant volume like she's in your group chat. I’d argue this is peak PR: candid and fan-oriented. No exclusive, no spin, just "Hope this helps lol.”
Envy
What I would give to be in the room when Senator Joni Ernst, who—when asked if the “Big Beautiful Bill“ would cause human lives to be lost, shrugged and said: “Well, we’re all going to die anyway.”
Imagine being that unserious and that powerful. I just know her comms director immediately broke out in hives. The world is burning, and instead of moral clarity or policy nuance, we get misplaced humor in a folksy Iowa drawl. Stunning. Also, the apology flopped.
Wrath
As always, I have no time for wrath, so instead you get a recent camera role gem: jail for this man still
okay bye, babes!

*I’ve found myself anime-curious for the first time in my life. My boyfriend decided that Attack on Titan would be my gateway series.
